epic road trip

Normandy was a first stop on our epic road trip through France and Spain. To be perfectly honest with you I had no desire to visit D Day beaches because I am not interested in war. There is so much sadness around caused by man that I try to stay away from it otherwise it is very depressing.
Anyway, we ended up visiting it and I was actually glad that we did. I was expecting to see some cold and attractive place with bad energy, but in reality things have changed. It was great to see all those ruins disappearing under the grass, children and dogs running around unaware of the hard heritage of this place. We even had a picnic there. It was great to see nature reclaiming its own territory once again but also to be reminded of the tragedies which happened here. Never forget.
